To get your custom applications to market faster, we use proprietary tools to accelerate the development of our advanced algorithms.

To achieve the ultimate system performance for your specific applications, our engineers develop advanced algorithms. These efficient formulas not only enable our sensor modules to provide critical information, but also to improve reliability by reducing drift and cross-sensitivities. To streamline the development of these algorithms, we created several proprietary tools including integrated software programs that simplify the testing of complex models during the application development process. The outcome of this design process is then integrated into intelligent microproducts using microcontrollers or embedded PC technology.

Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) sensor technology is based on changes in resistance of a sensitive metal oxide layer induced by the surface interaction with ambient gases. AppliedSensor’s hybrid microsensors lead the industry with the largest reduction in power consumption and the highest increase in functionality.

Field-Effect (FE) sensor technology is based on the effective work-function change of the gate layer shown by Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect transistor (MOSFET) devices when exposed to a test gas. With its knowledge in the processing and deposition of the sensing layer for field-effect devices, AppliedSensor is considered the technology leader. Currently, we are the only company in the chemical sensor system sector that has the knowledge to build applications around these sensors.

Quartz Microbalance (QMB) sensor technology is based on measuring the frequency of polymer-coated quartz crystals that are influenced by the absorption of ambient gases into the polymer matrix. With our know-how in polymer selection and the ability to apply polymers onto quartz, AppliedSensor is the technology leader, offering a broad range of QMB sensors for specific applications.
